BIRDS, OUTSIDE MY WINDOW, ON ST. GEORGE'S DAY 2020

Maya Angelou wrote about bonds, not being free, and we 've been talking about confinement here, at Institut Bernat Metge. She wrote about freedom and breaking those bonds; about the time when people could forget their past miseries and fly . On St George's Day we decided that her poem could inspire us; we'd dream of the day we could leave our homes and reunite with our families, friends, colleagues…  soon… After St George's Day! Our students photographed what they saw outside their windows and wrote a short poem about what they saw (click on the caged bird).
